Serving our community is what Griffin Plumbing is all about. We pride ourselves on our five star customer service as a means to promote quality and old fashioned sincerity in our work. We believe in the idea that one smile can change a person’s outlook, that a handshake is your word, and that everyone benefits when we each give back to our communities. Every year, Griffin Plumbing donates thousands of dollars to local charities. This is our way of showing our support for those who need it most, including our veterans and those currently serving in the military.
Our Special Charity
One charity in particular has a special place in the Griffin family’s hearts. Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization that works with US military veterans. The organization reaches out to veterans in the community and provides them with an all-expense-paid trip to their war memorial in Washington DC. In particular, Honor Flight is working to bring all of the remaining WWII veterans to DC. Historically hailed as the greatest generation, the sad reality is that over 600 WWII veterans are passing away each day.
The WWII memorial was commemorated in 2004. For the last decade, veterans have attempted to visit the memorial, but the cost to travel is too great for many of them. The founder of Honor Flight is Earl Morse. He recognized what this memorial meant to so many veterans and wanted to ensure that everyone had an opportunity to visit it. As the program has evolved, so has the experience which now gives every veteran a hero’s welcome upon returning home with saluting firetrucks and crowds of patriots thanking these brave men and women for their service.
Griffin Plumbing has pledged to donate $10 per residential service call to Honor Flight. In May, we had the privilege of gifting Honor Flight $1,500. Griffin Plumbing is proud to be a sponsor of Honor Flight, and would like to say a warm thank you to this organization for making a difference in veterans’ lives.
